We were blessed to have the opportunity to take a tiny little stray into our family about 9 months ago. He was scared...no, terrified...of everything and everybody..a tiny little 8 pound bundle of "the shakes". It's taken a lot of time a some patience to get him to the point of being brave enough to even just go out in the backyard for bathroom duties. Through the efforts of the staff at the hospital/shelter, he's making great strides in becoming socialized - both to other animals and to humans.
We know that your massage therapy is mainly directed at pain relief and pets with various physical ailments. We just want to let people who visit your website know that we really feel that massage can, at least in Possum's case, make a difference in temperment. After a massage, Possum is noticeably calmer and less apt to react in an aggressive manner toward strangers and more importantly, to my Dad, who has Alzheimers and lives with us. A trainer told us that many dogs react negatively toward people with dementia and it's been true in our case. Possum often will run to Dad and bark at him as if he wants to eat him, if Dad so much as stands up and is a little unsteady on his feet. It really does appear that the little 8 pound terror is more relaxed after massage....for a couple of days. It makes me want to go take a massage course myself so we could treat him daily!
Thank you so much for your assistance in our assimilating Possum into our family.

Hi Joyce,
Timmy is great! I feel that he ran a little more than usual that night post massage. He looks forward to his next one!!!

Hi Joyce -- I think both dogs experienced good, restful days after your wonderful massages. I wasn't with Keeper until later that evening, but B said that even though he was restless with you, he did well the rest of the day.

Hello,
He seemed to really enjoy it. He also seemed more relaxed less anxious when I went to get him at the end of the night. I still have issues with his legs - lyme disease - here and there but overall I think it did him well!

Hi Joyce!! Thank you again for your talents. Sully walked really well yesterday, he was 'bookin' it down the street on our way home. And was alternating his legs alot more than using a bunny hop.

Hi Joyce,
After the massage Tess slept all the way home in the car, so I guess it's safe to say she was relaxed. I have been using the massage techniques that you showed at night, she seems to enjoy it, after she settles down.
